Whistleblowing Doctor Faces 10 Years in Prison, Senses Divine Providence

A Texas surgeon, Dr. Eithan Haim, is potentially facing a decade in prison for leaking information that allegedly exposes Texas Children's Hospital for continuing trans procedures on minors, despite publicly claiming otherwise. This ordeal has led Haim to feel a sense of divine providence.

Dr. Haim, 34, shared with The Christian Post that he feels God's presence as he battles the U.S. Department of Justice. Earlier this month, the DOJ charged him with four felony counts for unauthorized access to patient information, including names, treatment codes, and attending physician details from the hospital's electronic system.

Haim leaked these records to journalist Christopher Rufo, revealing that the hospital had not ceased such procedures despite Texas Gov. Greg Abbott labeling them as child abuse. The U.S. Attorney's six-page indictment alleges that Haim went to the press rather than appropriate hospital authorities.

Recently, Haim has been vocal about his situation, giving interviews to prominent media figures like Laura Ingraham, Steve Bannon, Glenn Beck, and Jordan B. Peterson. Although he finds the potential prison sentence terrifying, he emphasizes his duty to future generations, especially now that his wife is six months pregnant with their first daughter.

Haim questioned, "What kind of world will we live in if we don't stand up for these kids who are being harmed or against the government that's going after people who are telling the truth?" He continued, expressing concern for the future his daughter will inherit and the necessity of sacrifice for her sake.

Haim criticizes the trans movement, believing it to be driven by ideology and enabled by those benefiting from it. He contends that those propelling the movement lack a moral tradition and therefore seek meaning in the transgender ideology. According to Haim, major U.S. institutions are captured by this ideology, elevating selfish desires over objective reality, and those exposing this are attacked.

Despite his legal battles, Haim's defense fund has raised over $868,000 of its $1 million goal. He feels he is part of a spiritual war, receiving significant support from both Christians and Jews. "These things happen for a reason," he said, emphasizing that living by religious principles leads to divine protection.

Haim hopes his case will inspire other whistleblowing doctors to uphold their oath to "do no harm." He encourages potential whistleblowers not to fear retaliation but rather to fear losing their dignity through submission.

Sen. Ted Cruz has intervened, sending a letter to U.S. Attorney Alamdar Hamdani, demanding answers regarding Haim's prosecution, which he views as politically motivated under President Joe Biden's DOJ. Cruz argues that such political prosecutions undermine the DOJ's integrity and intimidate potential whistleblowers, stating, "It has no place in our system of justice."
